Math for the Nursing Assistant

  • Understand the place value system
  • Demonstrate the use of basic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Accurately record time using military/international time
  • Use percentages when recording input

Measurement

  • Accurately read a thermometer
  • Use a set of scales to determine a patient’s height and weight
  • Accurately read a blood pressure gauge

Stress Management
